For this surgical technique our surgeons use the latest technology, the “Da Vinci” robot, which translates their movements with high precision during the procedure.
Robotic surgery is a minimally invasive technique, which means that instead of operating on patients through large incisions, it uses miniaturized surgical instruments mounted on four separate robotic arms, allowing the surgeon to maximize the range of motion and surgical precision. The surgeon can see through a high definition 3D camera that provides greater vision than their own eyes.
The surgeon controls these movements and the camera from a console located in the operating room. Placing his fingers on the master controls he can operate simultaneously the four arms of the “da Vinci” while looking through a stereoscopic monitor that positions him inside the patient.
